The course helps you understand traditional teachings with a modern outlook, enabling you to easily apply them in your daily life and confidently teach others after successful completion of the course. Let’s take a look at what you will learn:
Hatha yoga is one of the most ancient branches of yoga, with a history dating back over a thousand years. Sessions in Hatha Yoga Teacher Training are rooted in ancient practices that evolve your consciousness to a higher understanding.
K. Pattabhi Jois developed a modern-day form called Ashtanga Vinyasa in the mid-20th century, an energetic practice of mindful movements with breath awareness. In a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course, the primary series of Ashtanga yoga is taught in a systematic manner to help you in achieving your goal.
Vinyasa Flow have the movement sequences with focus on the breath. Vinyasa Flow is all about the deep inhale and exhale of your breath as you move from one posture to the other.
Learn the posture alignment in accordance to the Iyengar Yoga. Expert teachers of Gurukul Yogashala will help in understanding how to align yourself while you are doing self-practice and also will help you understand how to align others in your class as Yoga Teacher.
mind–body connection. It promotes calmness, focus, and concentration. This course teaches various breathing techniques, locks, and mudras for effective practice.
Shatkarma is a series of six types of cleansing activities that help with physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual cleansing. Cleansing your body is a fundamental step toward working on your yoga journey.
Mudras are the divine gestures that channel and distribute prana in the body. Most of the mudras are performed by hand. Practitioners can have immense benefits from mudras if they are performed in the right manner under the guidance of an expert.
While doing yoga, your body generates a lot of energy or prana. With mudra, channel this energy and with bandhas, control and maintain it in the body to prevent it from draining. When done right, the bandhas can also help awaken the Kundalini.
Yoga asanas make the body stable and pranayama soothes the nervous system, thus preparing the flow of prana to be channelized effectively and making it easier for the mind to focus. Practicing pratyahara, or the controlling of sense further facilitates control of the mind which is the preparation for meditation.
Yoga Nidra (psychic sleep) is sleeping in awareness in such a way that takes you from a conscious state to a superconscious state of awareness.
Mantras use the power of sound to calm the mind and balance energy. Regular chanting enhances focus, relaxation, and inner harmony.
Anatomy is an essential subject for ensuring a safe, effective, and personalized yoga practice. Empowering the newly certified yoga teachers with the skills needed to guide students safely and effectively.
We at Gurukul Yogashala offer traditional and Vedic knowledge to our students with our customized course on Yoga. We aim to keep the purity and serenity of Yoga alive through our students and spread it across the globe. This subject will uncover key concepts, beliefs in a higher power, the importance of self-realization, and the recognition of the interconnectedness of all things on this globe.
Ayurveda is the ancient healing science to heal the body in the holistic way. It is through the different practices of Ayurveda; you can heal the body by clearing out the doshas of the body.
Kundalini Yoga is practice to activate the kundalini energy which sits at the base of spine. Kundalini awakening is called the ultimate form of yoga sadhana that is attained after steadily mastering the previous layers of yoga sadhana. This comprehensive training is based on the ancient philosophies of tantras and kriya yoga. The term kundalini comes from the Sanskrit word - "Kundal" which means circular or the coiled snake at the base of spine.
It is not enough to learn and practice yoga to be a great yoga teacher. Teaching yoga is an art as it can change lives so a lot of preparation and skills go into it.
You will get the certification at the end of the course after proper evaluation. The evaluation will be based on:
The requirement of 90% attendance throughout the semester will be used as a criterion for each student's grade. A valid attendance rate of 90% is required, with an acceptable and understandable justification for the remaining 10% of missed classes.

My name is Laura Olivia and I live in Canada, one of the reasons I came to India was to learn yoga. At first, I didnt intend to do 200 hours of yoga teacher training but seeing the course syllabus on their website and the good reviews I tried it for 24 days and I dont regret it one bit.
We were received very warmly with a fire ceremony and delicious and a healthy satvic dinner
These are the people who change lives. I'm so grateful for the 3-day yoga retreat I attended at Gurukul Yogashala. It was everything I hoped for and more. 3 days seems like such a short time, but the retreat offers various outings and activities to make you feel...

Hi, my name is Robin, and I am coming from Montreal! I really enjoyed doing my YTTC with Gurukul Yogashala. I have been able to understand what's a correct posture, even the simplest one ;) Arvind was able to challenge and motivate me. Before coming to this
centre I read various book about yoga, but it's only during these 24 days that I have been able to fully catch what yoga actually is.

Namaste,I have completed my 200-hour Multi Style Yoga Teacher Training Course (TTC). It was a wonderful experience to be at the school and gain knowledge that, upon reflection, seems helpful not only for imparting training in yoga but also for self-practice...
What I liked most about Gurukul Yogashala is the faculty, which, in my opinion, is the most important aspect for a student with the intention to learn. We had the best teachers guiding us through each practice, pushing us to reach our potential while being mindful of any shortcomings. As an Assistant Professor in Philosophy, I found that I learned even more in-depth about yoga philosophy. Courses like Anatomy, which seemed challenging at first, quickly became my favorite. This experience made me realize that when approached in the right way, things are often easier than they seem. Our teachers in Ashtanga, Hatha Yoga, and Pranayama were also excellent. It is commendable that our instructors were not only practitioners themselves but also skilled teachers, which is a rare combination. There were many other positive aspects, such as the food, the serene location, and the basic amenities like accommodation, which all worked well for me. (P.S. – I was in a twin-sharing room.) I suggest that future students prepare themselves mentally for the intense training, as this program requires dedication for almost a month. It’s an excellent opportunity for those committed to learning. I am also very grateful to the school for the excursions they planned for us, the complimentary Ayurveda session, which was helpful in understanding one’s own prakriti, the sound healing session, which was very relaxing, and the kirtan evening as a closing celebration. All in all, it was an enriching experience. Eternally grateful.
I have completed my 200 hours yoga Teacher training. It was beautiful expérience. Fulfilled my expectation. All the teachers are so Good and have lot of experience. I Meet very beautiful persons here sharing a lot of experience stogether. …

Dedication and self-motivation are essential for the success of our course. The practice and teaching of yoga require a profound level of self-discipline and purity. To uphold the integrity of the program, participants must actively participate in all spiritual activities, meditation sessions, lectures, and asana classes.
In alignment with the principles of yoga, certain lifestyle choices are prohibited during the course. These include the consumption of meat, fish, eggs, black tea, coffee, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and any form of nudity. Such practices are counterproductive to the path of yoga. Participants who fail to adhere to these guidelines may be dismissed from the course to maintain the sanctity of the learning environment.
Nudity is strictly prohibited.
An advance payment of course fees is non-refundable, except in cases of emergencies where students can reschedule to join us on other available schedules.
If a student chooses to cancel the course after joining, the course fees will not be refunded. However, there is no additional charge for the cancellation itself.
We encourage students to carefully consider their commitment to the course before making any payments.
