Awaken Your Inner Vibration
The art of sound healing has existed since the dawn of humankind as a form of healing. Ancient cultures realized that sound holds incredible power to heal, change the way we feel, and help us return to our natural state by balancing, relieving pain, and bringing body and mind into harmony. This is the foundation of sound healing.
The most frequently utilized method of sound healing is through the sound bath, during which an individual simply lies down, breathes, and allows the layers of sound to wash over and through them. Ongoing scientific studies continue to validate what ancient cultures have intuitively always known; that through listening to sounds, you can alleviate pain, release anxiety, enhance sleep, and create an overwhelming sense of well-being.
Our sessions take place at the base of the Himalaya Mountains, next to the Ganges River — in settings that create an ideal environment for transformational healing. All of our sessions are facilitated by highly trained practitioners who will guide you through each session with hand-hammered Himalayan singing bowls, gongs and other sacred instruments - completely immersing you in sound that you feel rather than just hear. No prior experience is required. Just come, lie down, and allow the sound to complete the process for you. What you will leave with after your session will be more than relaxation; you will experience a profound, lasting silence that will remain within you long after the session has concluded.
Frequency Meets Physiology
The body contains organs, tissues, and cells that each have their own specific frequency. When we are well, all of these frequencies vibrate in unison; when something (physical, emotional, spiritual) happens that alters your internal balance, these vibrations are no longer coordinated.
In sound healing, you send specific frequencies into a person’s energy field to help restore harmonies that have been disrupted. This is not about metaphysical concepts, but science. All instruments used in sound healing produce frequencies that will resonate with the body’s biofield, activating the body’s parasympathetic nervous system and reducing brainwave activity - the optimal conditions for deep healing and recovery.
"नान्यत् किञ्चिद् विद्यते कार्यं यन्न नाट्येन गृह्यते" दयालुम्।" "There is nothing in this world that cannot be conveyed through the art of sound and performance."
Master Sound Healing Tools
Our sound healing training consists of three levels-each progressive level builds on the previous one-and combined comprises a comprehensive program of 15 hours and seven days, from interested novice to confident practitioner, certified to work.
|
Level 1 (Foundations) |
|
Level - 2 (Intermediate Practices) |
|
Level - 3 (Advanced Healing & Mastery) |
The use of sound therapy results in a reduction of anxiety and stress levels by causing the brain waves to slow down and encouraging the nervous system to enter a deep relaxed state, which lowers blood pressure, reduces muscle tension, and calms an overactive mind.
By helping to reduce levels of stress, sound therapy can help to improve sleep quality. In turn, better quality sleep will provide more energy and aid in healing overall.
Sound is an anchor point for being present in the moment. Practicing with sound will help you to be more aware, more centered, and more resilient throughout your daily activities.
As stress levels drop, our immune system becomes stronger. Sound therapy provides and creates conditions in the body necessary for increasing your ability to heal and fight off diseases.
The vibrations produced by sound instruments promote the release of endorphins, or the natural painkillers that your body produces, giving you relief without the use of medications.
Sound can help to give life to feelings that are difficult to express through words alone. Sound has the ability to bring forth feelings of sadness, anger, or grief from within us, allowing us to truly express and release those emotions, thus creating room for renewal and healing within us.
There’s no requirement for you to be a spiritual person. Sound healing is for everyone regardless of experience, flexibility level, or fitness level. You need to do only one thing to experience sound healing - come to the session and listen.
Sound healing is not invasive nor does it involve any forms of medication. It can be tailored to meet your specific needs regardless of whether you are experiencing chronic stress, emotional pain, physical discomfort, or the overwhelming noise of today’s world. Sound healing is equally effective for both individuals who are new to the work as well as those who are certified professionals in wellness.
As more individuals are choosing to seek relief from their health issues through holistic means rather than traditional (pharmaceutical) methods, sound healing is becoming one of the most widely practiced and effective methods of healing available. Regardless of whether your desire is personal healing, gaining knowledge for professional certification in a new area, or building on your existing knowledge base, this course will create true transformation for you.
High-Vibration Himalayan Energy
The instruments that you will be working with during this training operate at different frequencies within a four-part human being (the physical, the mental, the emotional, and the spiritual). You will be learning how to assist others through sound therapy, as well as how to utilize your own human experiences to help people achieve healing.
Through engaging in and using sound therapy your mind and body will be able to experience both greater levels of focus and clarity. This means that at the end of each session you will feel an overall increase in the amount of energy that you have and will have a clearer mindset about how you can use your energy to accomplish tasks that may have been difficult for you prior to working with sound therapy.
During this sound therapy instrumentation training you will be introduced to a wide variety of sound instruments including; Tibetan singing bowls; tingshas; gongs; and other instruments that work off resonance and sound vibration. During this training, you will become very familiar with each of these sound instruments and be able to use them in a professional capacity as you assist others through sound therapy.
As you work with sound therapy to help others, you will be healed at the same time that you are helping others heal. The gift of this training is to guide you through your own experiences of reducing stress, anxiety and mental clutter, while allowing you to create a greater sense of peace inside yourself.

Your Journey At A Glance
Rishikesh is not simply a location - it is a living tradition. The temples, the river, the teachers, and the daily rhythms of this sacred city create a context for learning that simply cannot be replicated anywhere else.
Students who come here for a week often leave with a shift that takes months to fully understand. The combination of the environment, the teaching, and the practice creates conditions for genuine inner transformation.
There is something profoundly different about practising sound healing with the Ganges flowing just beyond the window. The natural soundscape of Rishikesh enhances every session - and becomes part of the healing itself.
Your body deserves rest and your mind needs stillness after a long day of learning and practice. Gurukul Yogashala understands that rest is an important aspect of practice, so they have put a lot of thought into the accommodations available to you.
