At Gurukul Yogashala, a traditional yoga school in Rishikesh, we offer much more than yoga instruction. We believe that our 200 Hour + Pre-Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training course in Rishikesh will give you the tools and knowledge needed to become an effective teacher of yoga to pregnant and postpartum women, while gaining mastery of multiple styles of yoga. You will have the opportunity to explore Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga under our highly qualified instructors. You will also build an extensive knowledge base surrounding prenatal yoga teacher training methodology, philosophy, anatomy, and Ayurveda.

This course is not two separate courses but rather one travel experiential learning experience. It will take you from a foundational yoga teacher training program in Rishikesh to becoming a certified RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) through the International Yoga Alliance in the birthplace of yoga.

Your training has its roots in the Himalaya and the Ganges and extends long past the classroom. Every day is organized with a focus on enhancing your own practice and building the confidence to teach. You'll learn how to read a room and to modify your style of instruction to fit each student's unique needs, as well as how to "hold space" for students at every stage of life, especially during some of the most vulnerable and transformational experiences that a woman can go through. When you graduate, you will not only be certified, but you will be prepared to take your place as a yoga teacher. You will leave Rishikesh with two internationally recognized Yoga Alliance certifications an understanding of how a woman's body goes through each trimester; and the practical skills to stand in front of a class and teach on your first day as a teacher.

This course starts from 2nd of every month.

Bridging Vedic Tradition and Modern Teaching

Authentic Yoga Made Relevant For Today's World.

Though our way of life has evolved, the teachings of yoga remain the same. At Gurukul Yogashala our philosophy is that the best way to learn is to combine the knowledge handed down from traditional sources with our understanding of and connection to, the modern world in which we live. Each topic studied in this yoga teacher training course in Rishikesh - from Breath to Meditation to Ayurveda to Posture and Alignment - will help you gain a better understanding of yourself so that you can guide others with confidence and compassion.

Our instructors are experienced yogis who have devoted their entire careers to the practice of yoga. They teach from their own lived experience and share that knowledge with students as part of the Vedic traditions passed down through many generations.
